The actress said she is shocked by some of her old pictures. "Thinking I was getting older when I was really young, that's just a bummer," she shared.

Courteney Cox got candid about facial fillers and the pressures of aging in an interview on a Gloss Angeles Beauty Podcast episode. The 58-year-old actress called fillers her biggest beauty regret and that she's still shocked by some of her old pictures. The Friends star told hosts, Kirbie Johnson and Sara Tan Christensen, "Thinking I was getting older when I was really young, that's just a bummer, a waste of time; it's a domino effect, it's like you don't realize that you look a little off, so then you keep doing more cause you look normal to yourself," Cox said in a clip shared on the podcast's Instagram page.

Cox relied heavily on cosmetic procedures to keep her looking young when she wasn't that old to even begin with it. But she just kept doing it thinking it looked good at the time. "You look in the mirror and go, 'Oh, that looks good,' you think, and you don't realize what it looks like to the outside person and just doing too many fillers and having to have them removed, which thank god they are removable. I think I messed up a lot and now luckily...I was able to reverse most of that, now I'm actually just older." The Scream star added, "I look at pictures of me from when I thought I looked okay, and I can't believe it."

Cox previously revealed that there was a phase in her life where she wasn't able to accept the fact that she was getting older, which meant that she wasn't going to look 20 forever. However now she's embraced aging. Speaking with the UK's Sunday Times Style magazine, she said she can't believe that she's not far off 60. "There's nothing wrong with being 60, I just can't believe it. Time goes so fast," she said. "There's no question that I am more grounded, I've learnt so much in my life -- what to enjoy, what to try to do more of and what to let go of."
This holds especially true when it comes to her appearance. "There was a time when you go, 'Oh, I'm changing. I'm looking older.' And I tried to chase that [youthfulness] for years," she said. "And I didn't realize that, oh sh*t, I'm actually looking really strange with injections and doing stuff to my face that I would never do now." As an actor, she faced a ton of harsh criticism about her looks and being in the spotlight as she aged wasn't easy. "The scrutiny is intense, but I don't know if it could be more intense than what I put on myself."

The actress admitted that she's now in one of the best phases of her life. “The place I am in right now is the happiest I’ve ever been,” she recently told Variety. Speaking of aging, she continued, "I care more. I love directing. I love acting. I love producing. I feel like I’ve been doing it long enough that I actually know what I’m doing and then I can excel. I can be better. I take more chances."
